Senior Scrum Master

Overview
Havas CX is looking for a Senior Scrum Master to help guide cross-functional teams in delivering exceptional digital experiences for some of Canada's most recognized brands. This role goes beyond facilitating Agile ceremonies. You will serve as a coach, facilitator, delivery partner, and trusted advisor, helping teams and clients focus on value, continuous improvement, and successful outcomes.
Working closely with Product Owners, UX and Product Designers, Developers, QA, Data & Analytics teams, and client stakeholders, you will support the delivery of complex web, mobile, and platform initiatives within an Agile environment.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments, enjoys solving complex delivery challenges, and has experience leading Agile teams through enterprise-scale digital programs.
Responsibilities
Agile Leadership & Team Facilitation
- Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including: Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews and Demos, Retrospectives
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, collaboration, and delivery excellence.
- Create an environment where teams can innovate, solve problems, and continuously improve.
Delivery & Program Support
- Partner with Product Owners to ensure backlogs are prioritized, refined, and sprint-ready.
- Challenge assumptions, estimates, and delivery approaches to improve predictability and outcomes.
- Identify and remove impediments that impact team velocity and delivery.
- Monitor team health, sprint progress, dependencies, and delivery risks.
- Escalate risks, blockers, and dependencies proactively while collaborating on mitigation plans.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Serve as a key liaison between delivery teams, program leadership, and client stakeholders.
- Facilitate discussions that align business objectives, technical requirements, and delivery expectations.
- Provide clear communication regarding team progress, risks, dependencies, and release readiness.
- Support stakeholder engagement and Agile adoption across teams and client organizations.
Continuous Improvement
- Guide teams through retrospectives and improvement initiatives.
- Help establish scalable delivery practices for large, complex digital engagements.
- Encourage data-driven decision-making through crafting and sharing Agile metrics and delivery insights.
Release & Enterprise Delivery Management
- Support release planning and coordination across multiple teams and workstreams.
- Manage dependencies and delivery activities for enterprise-scale web, mobile, and platform implementations.
- Partner with technical leads and project leadership to ensure successful releases and deployment readiness.
- Ownership of the Change Approval Board process with support of technical leadership, program leadership and client stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 10+ years of experience as a Scrum Master supporting digital product, web, mobile, or software development teams.
- Experience leading Agile delivery for enterprise-scale digital initiatives.
- Proven experience managing large cross-functional development teams.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, release management, and digital product delivery.
- Experience working directly with both internal teams and external clients.
- Demonstrated success facilitating Agile transformation or Agile adoption within large organizations.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile delivery frameworks.
- Mastery of Jira and Confluence, with the associated skills to create and manage automations.
- Working knowledge of inclusion of AI to increase velocity of the role
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in a digital agency, consulting, or client-services environment.
- Experience working alongside UX, Product Design, Design Systems, QA, Engineering, and Analytics teams.
- Familiarity with web applications, mobile applications, CMS platforms, eCommerce solutions, or MarTech ecosystems.
- Experience supporting multiple Agile teams simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master, or similar Agile certification is considered an asset.

Additional Information
This role represents an active vacancy at Havas. You will be joining a collaborative, growth-oriented environment where ideas are encouraged and career development is supported. The hourly range for this position is CAD $60-$85, with final compensation determined based on factors such as work location, skills, experience, and background.
