UI/UX Designer - Fintech/Financial Services Firm
Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented and user-focused UI/UX Designer to create intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing digital experiences across our web and mobile platforms. The role will be responsible for understanding user needs, designing seamless user journeys, and collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to deliver user-centric solutions that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design user-friendly interfaces and experiences for web, mobile, and digital products.
- Conduct user research, competitor analysis, and usability studies to identify user needs and pain points.
- Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Develop intuitive customer journeys that enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective design solutions.
- Maintain and evolve the company's design system, ensuring consistency across all digital products.
- Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to continuously improve product experiences.
- Ensure designs are responsive, accessible, and aligned with industry best practices.
- Work closely with development teams throughout the implementation process to ensure design integrity.
- Stay current with UI/UX trends, emerging technologies, and fintech industry standards.
Required Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably within FinTech, Financial Services, SaaS, or Technology environments.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design projects, user research, wireframing, prototyping, and final product designs.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar design and prototyping tools.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and design thinking methodologies.
- Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user journeys, and information architecture.
- Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility standards, and mobile-first design principles.
- Ability to translate complex workflows into simple and intuitive user experiences.
- Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience designing fintech, banking, payments, trading, investment, or digital asset platforms.
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience conducting usability testing and interpreting user analytics.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development environments.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance considerations within financial services products.
