This project study is to be conducted in the curriculum of the TUM school of management.

ABOUT OCCIDENT

THE PROJECT

The aim of the project study is the analysis of the European start-up ecosystem in the incubator and university landscape according to the strength of deep tech spin-offs. As a team, you will work with the OCCIDENT Investment Management Team and get to know the venture capitalist’s perspective on deal sourcing of deep tech start-ups. Your results will provide insights into the newest developments in the European start-up ecosystem and unveil the next big “hotspots” for the VC industry when looking for investment opportunities.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a team of 2-4 students with the profile of:

• Self-starters: You will take control of the project, drive progress and have a demonstrated ability to work highly autonomously and independently.
• First experience: Work experience e.g. through an internship in an incubator, a startup, or in venture capital/private equity/consulting is a must.
• Passion for hard facts: Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making.
• Communicative team players: You are outgoing, open-minded, team-oriented and have a good sense for dealing with people of different nationalities, backgrounds and cultures.
