Smartedge’s Client is looking for an individual to help with their Scrum Master/Agile Product Owner (AMLA/ AML) @ Dublin, Ireland / Hybrid Working


Job Description :


We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Agile Product Owner to support the mobilisation, planning, and execution of delivery teams using Agile delivery practices. This role will be instrumental in ensuring successful delivery of complex technology transformation initiatives by driving Agile ways of working, managing dependencies, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and maintaining delivery governance.

The successful candidate will be an effective facilitator, coach, and delivery leader, capable of operating within large, highly governed programmes involving multiple teams, business units, and stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities


Agile Delivery Leadership


Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Promote Agile principles, practices, and continuous improvement across delivery teams.

Support the mobilisation and onboarding of project teams, ensuring effective team structures and delivery processes are established.

Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile methodologies and delivery best practices.

Remove impediments and proactively address blockers impacting team performance and delivery timelines.


Product Ownership & Backlog Management

Collaborate with business stakeholders to define product priorities and delivery objectives.

Develop, maintain, and prioritize product backlogs aligned with programme goals and business value.

Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery-ready work items.

Ensure requirements are clearly understood by delivery teams and aligned with programme objectives.

Balance competing priorities to maximize value delivery while managing delivery constraints.


Stakeholder Facilitation & Engagement

Foster strong collaboration between business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and programme leadership.

Facilitate workshops, planning sessions, prioritization meetings, and decision-making forums.

Ensure clear communication of delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions across stakeholder groups.

Manage expectations and maintain alignment between business objectives and delivery activities.


RAID & Dependency Management


Identify, document, and manage programme risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID).

Coordinate delivery dependencies across multiple teams, workstreams, and third-party suppliers.

Ensure risks and issues are assessed, mitigated, escalated, and tracked to resolution.

Maintain visibility of critical dependencies that may impact delivery schedules or programme outcomes.


Delivery Planning & Reporting

Support release planning, sprint forecasting, and overall delivery scheduling.

Monitor progress against delivery milestones, timelines, and commitments.

Produce and present delivery reports, dashboards, and status updates for programme governance forums.

Track team performance metrics, capacity, velocity, and delivery outcomes.

Provide insights and recommendations to improve delivery effectiveness and predictability.


Governance & Programme Support


Ensure adherence to programme governance standards, controls, and reporting requirements.

Support audits, assurance activities, quality reviews, and governance checkpoints.

Contribute to programme planning, resource management, and delivery risk assessments.

Collaborate with programme managers and leadership teams to achieve successful delivery outcomes.


Required Experience


Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Product Owner, or Agile Delivery Lead within large-scale technology programmes.

Strong track record leading Agile delivery within complex technology change initiatives.

Experience facilitating collaboration across multiple stakeholder groups and delivery teams.

Demonstrated experience managing RAID processes, dependencies, and delivery risks.

Strong delivery governance, planning, and reporting experience.

Experience working within large, highly governed transformation programmes.

Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams while maintaining focus on delivery objectives.

Excellent understanding of software delivery lifecycles and Agile delivery frameworks
