Project

The Communities and Families Transformation Program (CFTP) is a large-scale service transformation program that will replace legacy case management systems and deliver modern tools to approximately 10,000 users across nine program areas in two different departments.

Accountabilities

• Lead the co-design process for the Child Protection sub-stream with a clear transformation mandate — ensuring that design decisions are grounded in what practitioners genuinely need to do their work, not in current operational practices.
• Identify, in partnership with the embedded Change Analysts across the sub-stream, where the new system will require Child Protection practitioners to work differently — and distinguish clearly between change that is necessary and beneficial.
• Manage the relationship between product design and practice authority across the sub-stream.
• Hold the sub-stream's Product Owners to the transformation standard.
• Prepare and present co-design outputs for Business Design Authority review across the sub-stream

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience leading complex programs or engagements. Demonstrated experience holding accountability for a body of work that involves multiple teams, workstreams.
• Experience managing and developing the performance of others.
• Understanding of human-centred design, co-production, or practice-based design approaches.
• Deep knowledge of Child Protection practice, legislation, and the statutory operating environment.
• Capacity to hold strategic product direction and day-to-day delivery simultaneously.
