Project Manager

About the Role

Our client, an established engineering and project delivery organisation, is seeking a Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of large-scale industrial projects across complex environments.

This role will take ownership of project planning, execution, and stakeholder management, ensuring delivery is aligned with timelines, budget, quality, and safety expectations. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients to drive seamless execution across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Deliver

• Lead end-to-end delivery of industrial and construction projects from mobilisation through completion
• Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, and delivery strategies
• Ensure resource allocation, sequencing, and execution readiness are aligned with project objectives
• Drive mitigation strategies and recovery plans to address schedule or performance gaps

Stakeholder Management & Coordination

• Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams
• Lead project meetings, coordination sessions, and progress updates
• Manage interfaces across multiple stakeholders to ensure seamless execution
• Build strong working relationships and resolve issues in a timely manner

Performance, Cost & Risk Management

• Track project progress against established timelines, milestones, and deliverables
• Monitor cost performance, resource utilisation, and productivity levels
• Identify risks, constraints, and opportunities for improvement
• Support variation management, forecasting, and budget control

Site Oversight & Execution Control

• Provide oversight of site activities to ensure alignment with project plans
• Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and supervisors on execution matters
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and progress validations where required
• Ensure site-related issues are escalated and resolved effectively

Technical & Quality Management

• Ensure works are delivered in line with specifications, drawings, and contractual requirements
• Review technical submissions, construction methodologies, and project deliverables
• Drive adherence to quality standards and resolve technical challenges

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all project activities
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Support safety reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• Proven experience managing large-scale construction or industrial projects
• Track record in delivering complex projects and leading cross-functional teams
• Strong understanding of project delivery, construction methodologies, and cost control
• Experience in industrial, energy, or process-driven environments is advantageous
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
