About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with deep expertise in branch office networking, Azure cloud environments, and modern SD‑WAN architectures. This role is responsible for performing detailed audits of Gtech offices worldwide, complete infrastructure discovery documentation and diagnose any gaps within the current architecture. The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth with excellent communication skills and the discipline to operate independently while collaborating across global teams. This position requires working US business hours.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive network audits across branch offices, including LAN/WAN design, routing, switching, wireless, and security controls.
• Review and validate Azure cloud network configurations, including VNets, NSGs, firewalls, routing tables, VPN/ExpressRoute, and hybrid connectivity.
• Assess and optimize SD‑WAN deployments (e.g., Cisco Viptela, Fortinet, Aruba/Silver Peak, Palo Alto Prisma SD‑WAN).
• Evaluate and refine firewall policies, rule sets, segmentation strategies, and security best practices across on‑prem and cloud environments.
• Produce clear audit reports with actionable recommendations, risk assessments, and remediation plans.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and cloud teams to align network standards and drive improvements.
• Communicate findings and technical concepts effectively to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands‑on experience in enterprise networking, including branch office environments.
• Strong knowledge of SD‑WAN technologies and real‑world deployment experience.
• Expertise with firewall platforms (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco Firepower, Check Point) and policy auditing.
• Solid understanding of Azure networking, including:
• Virtual Networks, Subnets, NSGs
• Azure Firewall / third‑party firewalls
• VPN/ExpressRoute
• Routing, UDRs, Peering
• Proficiency with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching, VLANs, QoS, and network segmentation.
• Experience with network monitoring and auditing tools (e.g., SolarWinds, NetBrain, Panorama, FortiManager, Azure Monitor).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities while operating in US business hours.

Preferred Skills

• Relevant certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, PCNSE, NSE4+, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or equivalent.
• Experience with Zero Trust architectures and modern security frameworks.
• Familiarity with automation or scripting (PowerShell, Python) for network validation and reporting.
• Background in compliance audits (SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI, etc.).
