Back End Developer (GO)

Empathy Talent is working with one of their top Partners in delivering high-level technical expertise to a global leader in the MedTech sector. As this client continues to pioneer innovative solutions to improve patient outcomes and healthcare delivery, they require robust, scalable, and secure backend systems to support their next-generation digital health platforms.

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join the team on a 6-month contract basis. This is an opportunity to work on mission-critical systems that bridge the gap between complex medical technology and user-centric web/mobile applications. We are looking for a developer who can hit the ground running to tackle complex architectural challenges and ensure the reliability of our client’s digital ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• System Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems that support web and mobile-connected applications.
• Architectural Excellence: Solve complex backend architecture challenges, ensuring systems are both high-performing and secure.
• Workflow Integration: Participate in a modern development workflow, including active code reviews, implementation of automated testing, and management of CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaboration: Work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities within an Agile environment.
• Communication: Clearly document processes and collaborate across teams, maintaining strong communication standards in English.

Required Experience & Skills

• Technical Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience in backend development for web and/or mobile platforms.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Agile Proficiency: Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies and modern development life cycles.
• Domain Advantage: Experience working within regulated industries (MedTech, Healthcare, etc.) or complex product environments is highly preferred.
• Integration Expertise: Proven experience developing backend systems that integrate seamlessly with mobile applications.

Technical Requirements

• Core Technologies: Go (Golang), PostgreSQL, and RESTful API design/development.
• Infrastructure: Proven experience with containerization technologies and S3/object storage concepts.
• Nice to Have:
• Experience with AWS S3 Buckets and AWS SDK.
• Experience designing and maintaining distributed systems.
