Are you an experienced Network Engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment? We are looking for a structured and proactive professional to join our infrastructure team. This is a contract-to-hire (hyrköp) position, offering a great opportunity to start on a consultancy basis with the long-term goal of permanent employment.
In this role, you will play a key part in our infrastructure team, balancing hands-on daily operations with strategic improvement initiatives. You will work across a diverse technical landscape featuring Cisco, Juniper, CATO SASE, and Palo Alto technologies. Your primary focus will be ensuring that our enterprise connectivity remains stable, secure, and high-performing.
You will be a vital link between daily operations and large-scale design, providing essential support to our network architects in development projects.

Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience:
Fundamental Networking: Solid understanding of OSI and TCP/IP models, IP addressing, and subnetting.
Protocols: Hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, VLANs, ACLs, NAT, DNS, DHCP, and SNMP.
Platforms: Proficiency with Cisco platforms is required; experience with Juniper is a strong advantage.
Troubleshooting: Skilled in using Wireshark for deep-packet analysis.
Modern Standards: Familiarity with Wi-Fi operations and modern wireless standards.
Automation: Basic automation skills using Ansible, Python, or APIs.
Preferred Additional Skills
Experience with SD-WAN, SDN, and SASE technologies.
Strong knowledge of Palo Alto PanOS and Panorama.
Familiarity with Cloud Networking and TLS 1.3 protocols.
Exposure to network APIs such as RESTCONF and NETCONF.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIS, or PCNSE).

Responsibilities
Operational Excellence: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network environments, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, datacenter, and campus networks.
Incident Management: Handle incident and problem management tasks, including deep-dive root-cause analysis.
Governance & Changes: Execute configuration changes according to established governance processes and maintain accurate documentation/configuration repositories.
Monitoring: Regularly monitor network health and performance to ensure 24/7 reliability.
Architectural Support: Assist network architects with the implementation, documentation, and validation of new designs.
Security Collaboration: Partner with security teams on firewall rule changes and network segmentation.
Vendor Liaison: Work directly with Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto vendors for upgrades and advanced troubleshooting.
