ABOUT THE ROLE


Due to an internal promotion, we’re thrilled to open applications for an exciting and rare opportunity to join the Melbourne Football Club as an IT Support Officer!


In this hands-on and fast-paced role, you’ll be at the heart of keeping our technology running smoothly. You’ll take ownership of 1st and 2nd level IT support queries, triaging and resolving issues that help keep our team connected and performing at their best, both onsite and via remote support.


You’ll also play a key role in delivering seamless day-to-day operations, including providing desktop support and setting up audio-visual equipment for presentations and events that bring the club to life.


KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY


Reporting directly to the IT Manager, the key areas of responsibilities will include:


  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems and printers
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
  • Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
  • Setting up accounts for new users
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
  • Testing new technology and training staff on deployed solutions
  • Assisting, where possible, other areas of the business achieve their respective targets.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE


An ideal entry-level opportunity for a motivated and eager to learn individual to develop technical skills, gain hands-on IT support experience, and grow within a professional and supportive environment.


With a natural problem-solving ability and a personable friendly nature, the ideal candidate will easily engage and build trusting relationships with a range of stakeholders and have a demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, whilst maintaining high attention to detail.


You will have a passion for learning and development with knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 operating systems as well as the Microsoft Office Suite. You will have an IT degree or relevant industry equivalent certifications (such as AZ-104, CompTIA A+, etc) and familiarity with Mac OS, iOS and Android.


This role involves travel and the preferred candidate will have a valid driver’s license and car.
