Middle/Senior Golang Software Engineer (Kubernetes)

About The Role

In this role, you will contribute to building and evolving cloud‑native networking capabilities with a strong focus on Go development and Kubernetes orchestration. You will work on advanced deployment patterns such as pod pilots and canary rollouts, supporting reliable feature delivery across complex, multi‑tenant environments for a US‑based client.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and evolve Go‑based microservices and Kubernetes controllers and operators to support cloud‑native networking features
Own the implementation of pod pilot frameworks and canary rollout strategies, ensuring safe, incremental feature deployment and reduced operational risk
Collaborate closely with cross‑functional engineering teams, including data plane and platform specialists, to integrate control‑plane and data plane components
Support and improve multi‑tenant Kubernetes cluster operations, focusing on stability, scalability, and efficient troubleshooting
Contribute to feature development for an inter‑cloud native IPSec backbone and live tooling capabilities
Analyze and resolve complex production issues related to Kubernetes orchestration, networking, and service behavior
Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and technical decision‑making to maintain high engineering standards
Leverage C programming knowledge when working with adjacent data plane components for integration and deep technical troubleshooting

Requirements

At least 3 years of hands‑on experience with Go programming in production environments
Strong skills in Kubernetes (K8s), including CRDs, controllers, operators, and cluster‑level concepts
Experience implementing or working with pod pilot patterns and canary rollout methodologies
Solid understanding of multi‑tenant Kubernetes cluster operations and related challenges
Nice to have experience with C programming for data plane integration and low‑level troubleshooting
Experience working in cloud‑native, distributed systems environments
Ability to analyze complex technical problems and propose practical, maintainable solutions
Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in cross‑functional teams
Working proficiency in English for daily communication with a US‑based client
