Senior Golang Software Engineer

About The Role

In this role, you will design and evolve microservices and data pipelines for scalable distributed systems using Go and modern infrastructure tools. You will deliver production-ready services that handle real-world workloads and reliability challenges. The focus is on writing clear, efficient, and maintainable code that improves the system without introducing unnecessary risk or disruption.

Responsibilities

Design and develop microservices in Go, ensuring high performance, reliability, and maintainability
Build and optimize data pipelines, supporting both batch and streaming processing patterns for scalable systems
Collaborate with engineers, DevOps, and stakeholders to deliver features that improve system performance and stability
Automate deployment and configuration workflows using Ansible across distributed environments
Contribute to system observability by implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
Write clean, testable code with unit and integration test coverage to support long-term maintainability
Debug production issues using logs, metrics, and profiling tools, ensuring quick and effective resolution
Work with existing codebases, making incremental improvements without introducing unnecessary complexity

Requirements

Strong experience in Go (Golang) with at least 3 years in production environments, including microservices and API development (HTTP/gRPC)
Hands-on experience in building data pipelines, covering batch and streaming processing approaches
Solid understanding of Go concurrency patterns, including goroutines, channels, and synchronization primitives
Practical experience with Ansible for automation, including playbooks, roles, and configuration management
Proficiency with Linux/Unix environments and Git workflows (branching, rebasing, code management)
Experience with MongoDB, including query optimization, indexing, and schema design
Familiarity with Protocol Buffers and gRPC for service communication
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing practices, and service deployment
Understanding of monitoring and observability concepts, including metrics and structured logging
Knowledge of Kubernetes, including deployments, services, and configuration management
Experience with distributed storage systems such as HDFS
Exposure to network security or policy enforcement domains
Experience working with large-scale or monolithic repositories
