Key Responsibilities


The Legal Operations Specialst will support the Legal function by assisting with junior-level tasks across the following areas:



  • To support the legal function and the Company by designing, implementing, and maintaining legal processes, tools and operational frameworks;
  • To manage systems and workflows, coordinating contract and matter administration, supporting compliance and governance activities, and driving efficiency through data, technology, and cross-functional collaboration;
  • To develop, maintain and update playbooks in coordination with internal stakeholders and/or external counsels, to ensure they are accessible and aligned with relevant members of the legal function, to coordinate periodic reviews and updates to reflect changes as instructed by legal counsels;
  • To own and manage the contract lifecycle management process, including intake, routing, execution, storage, and renewal tracking, to configure and maintain CLM tools and workflows, to define and document contract processes and service levels, to support standardization of contract templates and clause libraries;
  • To support the implementation and maintenance of an AI-based contract review assistant, to coordinate training, testing, and documentation of AI tools for internal use, to monitor usage, accuracy, and operational performance of AI review outputs;
  • To design and maintain automated compliance recheck processes in collaboration with legal and compliance functions, to coordinate periodic compliance reviews and reporting;
  • To develop and maintain a legal cost dashboard, to track external counsel spend; tracking external counsel and vendor spend, and reviewing against billing guidelines.
  • To act as an operational liaison between legal and other business functions, to support internal users in understanding legal processes and tools, to provide training on legal systems and workflows.



Qualifications


  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from Law, Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic and proactive in exploring AI / LLMs / digital tools; exposure to contract management systems, document automation, or legal tech is a plus.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills (English).
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.

Statutory notice: In accordance with the Austrian collective agreement for employees in Consulting, the minimum gross monthly salary for this internship (40 hours/week) is € 2,134. Please note that this is a legal requirement to state, but your actual compensation will be based on your qualifications and professional experience, and we would be happy to discuss it with you personally.
