Job Title – Senior Java Engineer – Payments (ICON IPF)

Location – Onsite - Dublin

Contract Length /Contract 12 Months

Role Overview

Experienced Senior Java Engineer with hands on experience of the ICON IPF Payments framework to support the delivery of large‑scale payment systems. This role involves hands‑on development within modern, cloud‑based architectures and close collaboration with major banking clients.

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive hands‑on experience with Java 11, Spring Boot, and microservices‑based architectures
• Strong experience working in AWS cloud environments
• Solid experience with Apache Kafka and asynchronous messaging
• In‑depth knowledge of ISO 20022 payments, including payment types and schemes
• 5-10 Years as a Java engineer
• Minimum 3 years’ hands‑on experience implementing ICON IPF within banking environments
• Proven experience working closely with major banking clients
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
