User Experience Designer

Are you a Senior UX Designer with the ability to leverage new technology, find unexpected ideas, and push the boundaries in solving UX problems with continued innovation? Our client's Global Consumer Experience & Design team is looking for a Senior UX Designer to create intuitive and highly functional web, visual and interaction design that results in functional, usable interfaces. Reporting to the UX Lead, the Senior UX Designer will lead the design of conceptual phases and delivery cycles working with a multi-disciplined group of UX professionals.

Portfolio Note: In order to be considered, candidates must have 8+ years' digital design experience in product / responsive web design, working within a scrum team and should have a strong portfolio showing core UX/UI design skills, product design, data visualization and dashboards. Figma and Figjam expertise required.

You Will:

• Translate complex research and architecture deliverables into intuitive, usable and highly functional interfaces, leveraging and maximizing UX best practices
• Ensure existing UI guidelines and standards are followed during the development and maintenance of all environments
• Present design concepts and negotiate with stakeholders to arrive at a design that supports both the business and a strong user experience.
• Conduct and/or participate in product usability tests with users
• Communicate and work effectively with cross-functional team members including but not limited to UX researchers, UX architects, developers, writers, PMs / scrum masters, business analysts and stakeholders
• Rapidly prototype designs in Figma with an established design system
• Translate low fidelity wireframes/UX prototypes into effective and appealing interfaces
• Contribute to planning and regular stand ups with dev team in an agile workflow
• Proactively recognize UX/UI gaps in design and propose solutions

You Have:

• Understanding of best practices in product design
• Expertise in current trends for UX/UI design and data visualization
• Ability to leverage new technology, find unexpected ideas, and push the boundaries in solving UX problems with continued innovation
• Ability to articulate user experience design issues effectively, and present and justify design thinking and rationale through key / milestone deliverables to peers and stakeholders
• Proven experience effectively managing and directing junior designers to produce screens / flows and generate related assets
• Innovative, creative problem-solving skills, and an eye for detail and accuracy
• Bachelors degree in design or related field + 8-12 years' digital design experience in a commercial software product company, design firm, or consulting firm
• Mastery of user-centered design principles and practices
• Mastery of UI design, including but not limited to concepts, prototypes, data visualization
• Expertise in Figma for prototyping and Figjam for whiteboarding / client consultation
• Experience creating site maps, wireframes and customer journeys
• Experience working in an agile development process
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and listening)
• Ability to work well independently, as well as collaboratively
• Excellent organization skills
• Proven ability to manage concurrent projects and adjust to frequent changes in project priorities / requirements
• Proven ability to demonstrate initiative in exploration of design opportunities above and beyond defined scope
• Knowledge of CSS, HTML, JavaScript a bonus
• Working knowledge of Webflow for extra credit

Logistics:

• Start Date: January 2025
• Duration: Contract-to-hire (conversion after 6-8 weeks)
• Hours/Week: Fulltime hours
