Job Overview

Following the acquisition of Tessian by Proofpoint and having found exceptional product/market fit for our category-defining Human Layer Security software platform, we’re in the midst of transformation and growth and are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join the Tessian Business Unit of Proofpoint.

You’ll be helping us evolve and improve our “human centric security” platform. From deploying data science models in production to integrating with our front end, you'll be involved in projects that span all aspects of the business. Our mission critical product and high volumes of data mean you will have many challenging problems to solve.

Responsibilities And Duties

Our stack is predominantly python based, using a variety of datastores and runs in AWS. Role and responsibilities of the job include

• Design and build reliable distributed systems that handle high volumes of data with low latency
• Work with a cross functional team of Data Scientists, Backend & Frontend Engineers, Product Managers, and Product Designers
• Maintain and support business-critical systems
• Ship code to production using CI/CD
• Tackle the challenges that come with processing highly sensitive data
• Build software with security in mind
• Make your mark on ambitious projects
  
  

Qualifications/Experience

• Proven commercial experience as a Software Engineer
• Experience building scalable systems
• Previous experience with event driven, distributed systems 
• Worked in the past on a fast moving team with focus on delivering value 
• Product mindset, capable of not only delivering impact within their team but also elevating the wider engineering organisation
• Is metric driven and considers quality upfront
• Enjoys collaboration and working with others
