We are hiring a Junior Automated Tester to join our team at Edgeware in Stockholm.

Edgeware is a Stockholm‑based technology company that provides systems enabling large‑scale delivery of modern internet‑based TV services, offering high‑quality streaming for operators and content providers. The company serves 200+ customers globally and specializes in OTT, IPTV, WebTV, VOD and CDN solutions.

Edgeware is part of the Agile Content and continues to deliver innovative video distribution solutions within the group.

Stockholm, Sweden – Hybrid work at our Edgeware offices.

What You’ll Do

As a Junior Automated Tester, you will work closely with QA engineers, developers, and system specialists. You’ll contribute to testing activities and progressively take on more responsibilities in automation and performance environments.

Your Role Will Include

✅ Assist in designing and maintaining automated test scripts in Linux‑based environments.

✅ Execute functional, regression, and performance tests under guidance.

✅ Collaborate with the QA and development teams to identify automation opportunities.

✅ Document test results, report defects, and follow up on fixes.

✅ Support integration of automated tests into CI pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).

✅ Help troubleshoot issues across software, hardware, and network environments.

✅ Participate in hardware‑related testing (servers, NICs, SSDs, memory, cabling).

✅ Work on networking‑related test scenarios (IPv4/IPv6, routing, VLANs, bonding).

✅ Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, processes, and QA methodology.

Key Requirements (Junior Level)

You can be recently graduated or have limited experience, as long as you bring strong technical foundations and motivation to grow.

🔹 Solid understanding of Linux (must-have).

🔹 Troubleshooting mindset and basic system diagnostic skills.

🔹 Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash).

🔹 Familiarity or interest in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, GitHub).

🔹 Interest in hardware architectures: CPU, memory DDR4/DDR5, SSD, NVMe, PCIe.

🔹 Basic networking knowledge: IPv4/IPv6, routing, VLANs, bonding, netmasks.

🔹 Curiosity about performance testing.

🔹 Some exposure to programming (C, C++, or Golang is a plus).

🔹 Interest in tools like Ansible (desirable but not required).

🔹 Basic knowledge of server installation, disks, NICs, OS installation, wiring, etc.

🔹 High English proficiency (international environment).

No professional experience required — what matters most is curiosity, technical aptitude, and willingness to learn.
