Frontend Developer

Title: Front-End Developer (React)

Location: Dublin - Hybrid, 2 days per week onsite

Duration: 10 Months

We are looking for an experienced Front-End Developer to design, build, and maintain responsive, high-performing web applications. This role requires strong expertise in modern front-end technologies, a focus on security and accessibility standards, and the ability to work within Agile delivery environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop responsive, user-friendly web applications using modern frameworks (React)
• Own the quality and delivery of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code
• Build reusable components and libraries for scalable solutions
• Develop new user-facing features and optimise applications for maximum speed and performance
• Ensure security-by-design principles, GDPR compliance, and accessibility standards are embedded in front-end development
• Work with APIs and integrate front-end solutions with back-end services
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevSecOps practices
• Build and maintain applications in both on-premise and cloud environments (Azure)
• Write unit tests and maintain high code quality standards
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions
• Create prototypes and high-quality mock-ups within tight timelines
• Maintain visual consistency, branding, and usability best practices across applications
• Lead web projects from concept to implementation, contributing to key architectural decisions
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers where required
• Collaborate in cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams including Back-End Developers, QA, Designers, and Project Managers
• Produce functional requirement documentation and technical specifications

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with React
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap
• Experience working with APIs and integration patterns
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and secure coding practices
• Experience with unit testing frameworks
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
• Exposure to cloud technologies (preferably Azure)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps principles
• Experience with interactive design and UI/UX feasibility reviews
• Ability to develop mock-ups, prototypes, and high-quality visual elements (Photoshop or similar tools)
