Purpose


As a Project Coordinator/Cadet specialising in data centres at TATE APAC, you will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects related to the construction, expansion, or maintenance of data centre facilities. Working closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, engineers, technicians, and external contractors, you will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities


Project Planning and Scheduling:


  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of project schedules using project management tools.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and timelines.


Resource Allocation and Procurement:


  • Assist in resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials required for project execution.
  • Coordinate procurement activities, including obtaining quotes, issuing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries.


Communication and Stakeholder Management:


  • Serve as a primary point of contact for project-related inquiries from internal teams, clients, and vendors.
  • Facilitate regular meetings and communications to ensure all stakeholders are informed of project progress and updates.


Quality Assurance and Compliance:


  • Monitor project activities to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct quality inspections and audits to verify adherence to project specifications and requirements.


Key relationships: Dealers and partners across Australia and the Asia Pacific region.


Education, Work Experience & Skills required, Personal Qualities (Selection Criteria)


Education:


  • Tertiary qualified in Construction Management or a related discipline will be a distinct advantage but not necessary


Work Experience and Skills:


  • A minimum of 1-3 years' experience as a project coordinator or similar within the data centre or commercial construction industry
  • Strong technical background and understanding of data centre infrastructure and construction methods will be a distinct advantage
  • Proficient in project management tools such as Office 365, Aconex and Procore
  • Experience as a Project Coordinator, ideally in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 environment
  • Exposure to to-large scale commercial & industrial projects
  • Strong track record of contributing to project delivery in alignment with schedules, budgets, and customer expectations
  • rade background desirable

Additional Requirements


  • Proficient in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats, including technical discussions, reporting, documentation, and correspondence with colleagues and clients. Capable of understanding complex instructions, participating in meetings, and preparing detailed reports or presentations.
