Role Overview

The Webscraping team is a team of dynamic, creative problem solvers located around the globe. We combine high technical expertise with cutting-edge technology to obtain any data on the web which can help our investment teams generate returns. We work on a huge variety of data, from hurricane forecasts in Florida to iPhone prices in China. We find data which nobody else has, and we deliver it to investors with unmatched speed and reliability.


Just as every website is different, every solution we work on is unique and requires innovative, outside-the-box thinking. We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join the Warsaw branch of our global team. In your role, you will interact with every side of the firm, gathering requirements, understanding problems, proposing solutions and driving the request process. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for data (including data quality), strong analytical skills, and a good understanding of investment data use cases.



Key Responsibilities


Own the request process:

  • Collaborate with investment teams to understand their data needs and use cases.
  • Translate requirements into gameplans for engineers to deliver reliable, actionable, timely data.
  • Review, approve and resolve data deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Coordinate the flow of information between engineers, investment teams and third parties with focus on data monetization.
  • Data Products:
  • Lead the effort in proactively building proprietary data products from idea generation to productionizing data.
  • Coordinate with the engineers on the technical implementation of a data project.


Data Quality:

  • Build frameworks to ensure data quality expectations are met when delivering proprietary data products.
  • Drive creation of new Webscraping Team KPIs + QA Methods.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with SQL and data analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods.
  • An inquisitive nature and a passion for data.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as an investment data analyst or business analyst.
  • Good knowledge of financial markets and financial products.
  • Good understanding of alternative data use cases in the investment world.
  • Experience with Webscraping.
