Azure Technical Lead

Azure Technical Lead | Sydney | Hybrid (3 Days WFH) | $180K + Super + Bonus

Work for a business that’s scaling fast and investing heavily in its cloud future. You’ll take the lead in shaping how Azure infrastructure is designed, secured, and automated across a growing enterprise environment.

The Opportunity

You’ll be hands-on, driving improvements across Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms—tightening governance, boosting performance, and keeping costs in check. Expect to be at the centre of automation, security, and DevOps initiatives while mentoring others and influencing technical direction.

What You’ll Do

• Design, implement, and optimise Azure infrastructure aligned to best practice
• Build automation and IaC pipelines with Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates
• Strengthen security and compliance under frameworks such as Essential Eight and NIST
• Oversee monitoring, and reporting using Azure Policy, Sentinel, and Monitor
• Provide technical leadership across Azure AD, networking, and Windows workloads
• Coach and support a small team of engineers to deliver consistently high standards
• Maintain clear documentation and operational processes under ITIL

About You

You’re an experienced Azure infrastructure specialist who’s spent time in enterprise or complex hybrid environments. You bring strong capability across Azure AD, Networking, Key Vault, Defender, Intune, and related security services. You know your way around automation and PowerShell scripting, and you’re proactive about improving systems, processes, and people.

Relevant Azure certifications, exposure to the financial services industry and infrastructure leadership experience will stand out.
