Job Description

To perform laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations

To prepare specimens, samples and reagents

To operate and ensure regular maintenance of laboratory equipment

To participate in equipment validations, calibrations, quality controls and assessment

To ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced

To promptly and accurately record laboratory results and present for approval.

To ensure safety of all data records generated in the laboratory

To keep up to date with technical developments, especially those which can save time improve quality and reliability of processes and results

To ensure and adhere to standard laboratory safety measures and checks.

Involved with scientific meetings in the organization

Requirements

BSc degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field

2 - 5 years post NYSC work experience

Excellent knowledge of anatomic pathology

Able to pay attention to details

Great communication and organizational skills

Team player
