Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT plays a crucial role in this transformation, requiring flexible and efficient IT solutions to support current and future business needs.


Your challenge


Scania is undergoing a digital transformation where data is the driving force. As a Data Analyst, you will be involved in collecting and analyzing data from various sources, enabling data-driven real-time solutions in PowerBI and SAP Analytics Cloud. You are the link between business and data-driven solutions. Additionally, you play a key role in setting up data infrastructures to process and analyze large amounts of data, developing new algorithms and models, and reusing existing models in innovative ways.


Your responsibilities:


  • Collecting, analyzing and cleaning data from diverse sources.
  • Preparing reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Analyzing large datasets using statistical techniques and data analysis tools.
  • Setting up data infrastructures to process and analyze large amounts of data.
  • Developing new algorithms and models.
  • Supporting or leading data science projects.
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining data pipelines and systems for data collection, storage, processing and analysis.


Your talents


  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, IT, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues and devise practical solutions.
  • Ability to translate complex data into understandable insights and reports
  • Experience working with large datasets and applying analysis techniques
  • Experience with data modeling in BI tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud and/or PowerBI
  • Experience in data science, machine learning and/or Python is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
