In this challenging role, you help build, automate and maintain a secure, scalable and reliable cloud platform environment within IT Applications. You work across infrastructure, cloud services, container platforms and deployment pipelines, with a strong focus on standardization, automation and operational excellence. In doing so, you contribute to a robust and future-proof platform that supports business-critical applications and data-driven solutions across the CLdN group.


Your role

  • Design, build and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, with a strong focus on Terraform.
  • Deploy, operate and continuously improve cloud workloads on Microsoft Azure.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes-based workloads, preferably on OpenShift, in collaboration with external software development partners.
  • Help shape and maintain a secure, scalable and standardized cloud platform that supports both application delivery and data-driven workloads.
  • Support GitOps-based deployment practices and maintain reusable, environment-specific configurations.
  • Build, optimize and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
  • Strengthen platform reliability by investigating incidents, performing root-cause analysis and improving resilience, failure handling and observability.
  • Help define effective monitoring, dashboards and alerting that provide teams with actionable insights.
  • Contribute to a secure, scalable and standardized cloud platform that supports both application and data-related workloads.


Your profile

  • Solid experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices in a professional environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including identity and access management, networking, platform governance and secure key management.
  • Experience working with Kubernetes environments, preferably OpenShift, including troubleshooting workloads in containerized setups.
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines and CI/CD automation.
  • Familiarity with GitOps principles and tools such as Argo CD and Kustomize.
  • A good understanding of distributed and event-driven systems, including concepts such as retries, idempotency, ordering and failure handling.
  • A solid understanding of observability principles in cloud-native environments, together with the ability to investigate incidents across distributed systems.
  • A structured way of working, combined with ownership and a clear focus on building reliable and maintainable solutions.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across infrastructure, development and business-facing teams.
  • A hands-on, solution-oriented mindset, with a genuine interest in improving standards, automation and ways of working.
  • Experience with scripting and automation, for example in PowerShell, Bash and/or Python, Terraform
  • Dutch and English speaker at a professional level


Nice to have

  • Experience with additional tooling such as Helm, Bicep, Pulumi or Ansible.
  • Exposure to other cloud platforms or infrastructure environments, such as AWS and/or GCP
  • Experience with data platforms, data analysis or data-related workloads.

Working Hours & Additional Leave

  • Full-time contract of 38 hours per week
  • 5 extra days off in addition to statutory vacation days
  • Hybrid working: max. 3 days per week after 6 months
  • Work hours with flexible start (7:30–9:30 AM) and finish (4:00–6:00 PM)
