🔐 Hiring: Information/Cyber Security Consultant (Security Assessment)

📍 Remote | Contract | Immediate Start Preferred

We’re looking for a hands-on Information Security Consultant to support a growing demand for security assessments across internal and external solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, can dive deep into technical risk analysis, and is ready to help shape a scalable security assessment process from the ground up.

🛠 What You’ll Be Doing:

Security Assessments (Primary Focus):

• Conduct detailed risk assessments for new systems and solutions (cloud and on-prem), evaluating configuration, data handling, and compliance risks.
• Assess the security posture of proposed technologies and provide actionable recommendations to project teams.
• Review and advise on security controls in line with ISO27001, NIST, and GxP requirements.
• Balance recommendations based on business risk, not just best practice—considering culture, data sensitivity, and risk appetite.
• Support the CISO by owning incoming security review requests and providing clear, structured feedback.

Process Design & Improvement:

• Design and implement a repeatable, scalable process for assessing security risks in new projects.
• Define when and how security should be involved in project lifecycles.
• Create templates, workflows, and reporting structures to standardise assessments and improve traceability.
• Identify gaps in current practices and propose improvements to tighten security governance.

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience conducting security assessments in GxP environments across multiple organisations.
• Strong understanding of ISO27001, NIST, and emerging regulations like NIS2.
• Ability to work in ambiguity and build structure where none exists.
• Experience designing and improving security processes and frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of security controls including background checks, traceability, and compliance documentation.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Start Date: Within the next few weeks
• Duration: Project-based, with potential for extension
• Location: Remote (EU-based preferred)
• Rate: Competitive, based on experience
