Job title: IT Project Manager

Start Date: 15th September (if possible)

Contract Length: 180 days (possibility of extension)

Location: The Hague

Working Model: Hybrid (largely REMOTE, around 48 days onsite)

Rate: €510 (when working OFFSITE), €575 (when working ONSITE)

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced ICT Project Manager to support a European Institution with the delivery of complex ICT projects (software, infrastructure, cloud, and COTS deployments).

• Manage end-to-end ICT implementation projects in agile, waterfall, or hybrid environments
• Lead cross-functional teams, coordinate vendors, and align business & IT stakeholders
• Oversee planning, governance, risk management, and reporting to senior stakeholders
• Deliver projects in highly regulated, international/public sector environments
• Define and track project deliverables, scope, budgets, and schedules
• Drive effective communication across teams, ensuring transparency and accountability
• Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions where needed
• Ensure compliance with EU policies, standards, and security requirements

Requirements

• 9+ years in ICT Project Management, incl. international/multicultural environments
• Strong experience with cloud projects, COTS, and infrastructure delivery
• Familiarity with EU institutions/public sector work highly desirable
• PM certification (PRINCE2, PMP, PM² or similar) required
• Excellent communication skills in English (C1+)
• Proven ability to manage vendors and third-party suppliers
• Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Confluence)
• Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills at senior/board level
• Experience balancing multiple projects and deadlines in complex organisations
• MUST BE AN EU CITIZEN
