Mobile Application Developer

Position: Senior Applications Architect

Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)

Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Applications Architect with strong mobile development leadership experience to support the design and delivery of enterprise-grade mobile applications within a complex public sector environment. This role involves architecting, leading, and delivering secure, scalable iOS and Android solutions using both native and hybrid technologies, with a primary focus on React Native and TypeScript.

Scope

• Lead architecture, development, and delivery of enterprise mobile applications
• Drive implementation of secure, scalable mobile solutions aligned with enterprise standards
• Provide technical leadership across mobile development, backend integrations, and identity solutions
• Enable cross-functional collaboration across product, UX, security, and platform teams.

Assignment Deliverables

• Architecture designs and technical specifications for mobile applications
• High-quality enterprise mobile applications (iOS and Android)
• CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and deployment processes
• Secure mobile implementations aligned with OS and enterprise security standards
• Technical documentation including architecture artefacts, developer guides, and integration specifications.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with React Native
• 4+ years of experience in a Lead Developer / Technical Leadership role
• Strong team management and stakeholder coordination skills
• Experience designing and developing mobile applications using:
• Native technologies (Swift, Objective-C, Java)
• Hybrid frameworks (React Native, TypeScript)

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of Secure Enclave, Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), or StrongBox
• Exposure to cloud-native environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with event-driven or distributed system architectures.
