AI Developer (Visual AI / Computer Vision)

We are seeking a skilled AI Developer (Visual AI / Computer Vision) who can take ownership of an advanced R project involving instance segmentation, vision-language models, and technical drawing analysis. This role is ideal for someone passionate about applying AI to real-world industrial problems, who can quickly understand complex systems, enhance existing models, and drive them toward production-level performance.

You will join us at a stage where the core system is already developed and functional, and your mission will be to improve accuracy, expand capabilities, and prepare the solution for the next phase. Your Responsibilities

• Understand and Take Over the Existing System: Fully comprehend the current AI model and codebase.
• Enhance Instance Segmentation Models: Refine and expand the accuracy of object detection and segmentation for technical drawings.
• Integrate Vision-Language Models (VLM): Improve the classification and identification of components using Gemini API, Vertex AI, and related tools.
• Data Management & Labeling: Work with Roboflow and similar platforms to prepare and optimize datasets for training.
• Develop APIs & Integrations: Maintain and expand FastAPI-based endpoints (or equivalent) for system communication.
• Optimize Performance: Ensure the AI pipeline runs efficiently on GCP and/or Azure environments.
• Collaborate & Communicate: Work closely with the project team to align improvements with operational needs.
  
  

Ideal Candidate Profile

Technical Expertise

• Strong Python skills
• Experience with instance segmentation (YOLOv8 Segmentation, Mask R-CNN, etc.)
• Familiarity with VLMs and LLMs (Gemini API, Vertex AI, LangChain/LangGraph)
• Hands-on with OpenCV, scikit-image, Pillow, Pandas, NumPy
• API development with FastAPI or similar frameworks
• Experience with GCP (primary) and/or Azure AI services
• Problem Solver: Able to quickly understand unfamiliar systems and propose effective solutions.
• Adaptable: Comfortable working in a high-speed R environment.
• Independent Worker: Capable of taking full ownership of tasks and delivering with minimal supervision.
• Strong Communicator: Clear and effective in both written and spoken English.
