Role Overview
We are seeking a high-agency Engineering Lead to take Aracor’s platform to the next level. In this role, you will own our full-stack engineering efforts end-to-end: from building and managing the team, to designing scalable architecture and deploying reliable services in production.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Stack Ownership: Lead the design, architecture, and development of Aracor’s platform across the stack, ensuring high performance and scalability.
- Technical Strategy: Work closely with the key stakeholders on technical roadmap and decisions. Evaluate and introduce new technologies to improve platform performance, scalability, and reliability as needed.
- Team Building & Leadership: Hire, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of engineers. Foster a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and quality execution.
- Agile Delivery: Drive sprint planning, prioritization, and project management to ensure on-time delivery of product launches. Keep the team focused and accountable to milestones and results.
- Quality & Reliability: Own the platform’s reliability, security, and maintainability. Implement engineering best practices in code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and monitoring to uphold a robust production environment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product and business teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions. Communicate trade-offs and be the bridge between engineering and other stakeholders.
- Startup Hustle: Adapt and wear multiple hats as needed in a fast-paced startup setting. Whether it’s debugging a Kubernetes deployment, refining a UI workflow, or jumping on an urgent issue, you do what it takes to push the product and team forward.
Qualifications
- Proven Technical Leader: 7+ years in software engineering, including 2+ years in a leadership role (tech lead/engineering manager) in a fast-paced environment.
- Full-Stack Expertise: Hands-on experience designing and shipping modern web applications end-to-end. Comfortable with our current tech stack (Python, FastAPI, React) and excited to dive into new languages or frameworks (Golang, Rust) when appropriate.
- End-to-End Delivery: Demonstrated ability to architect and deliver complex systems from scratch – from initial design and APIs to deployment and monitoring in production.
- Team Building Experience: Proven experience hiring and leading engineers, with a track record of nurturing talent and establishing effective engineering processes (agile sprints, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, etc.).
- High Agency & Ownership: Self-driven and proactive. Thrives with autonomy and takes ownership of outcomes. Able to make decisions and solve problems independently, with a bias for action.
- Strong Communication: Excellent communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and interface with product, design, and executive teams. Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Startup Mindset: Resourceful, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity. You have the startup hustle to adjust course quickly and handle the broad responsibilities that come with an early-stage team.
