Software Engineer

Level: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Perth

• Core Skills: Strong experience with frontend technologies (Javascript, Typescript, React) and Python.
• Desirable Skills: Experience with AWS and SQL is desirable, but not essential.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and support of planning engineering applications using low-code or fullstack technologies, including Client’sforecasting, capacity planning and dispatch analysis tools.
• End-to-end delivery of user stories including design, development, testing and deployment.
• Full-stack application design and development using React (TypeScript), Python, and C# .NET
• Provide expert advice in relation to the development and design of power system forecasting, planning and operational models.
• Identify and manage development of strategies and improvement initiatives for power system models and modelling tools.
• Solve complex power system modelling problems as part of a dynamic engineering team.
• Level 4 application support and maintenance.
• Ensure project and BAU documentation is maintained in accordance with standards.
• Ensure software and model governance procedures are followed.
• Provide technical assistance and training to planning engineers and others as required.
