Android Vehicle Systems Developer

Location – Eindhoven, NL

Job Type: Contract

Type: Mostly onsite- at least 3-4 days working from office.

Skills:

Required:

• Android java SDK experience
• General Android experience: adb, dumpsys, etc
• General CAN bus and J1939 knowledge
• Standard experience: git, agile, user stories, tasks
• Willing to do Development and Test activities
• Preference: some python experience
• Preference: Navigation development experience
• Experience in Android app development that involves direct communication with vehicle hardware - particularly working with protocols such as CAN bus or J1939.

Key skills and experience we should prioritize include:

• Decoding J1939 messages
• Displaying real-time vehicle data such as location, speed, and heading
• Integrating with Google Maps, HERE Maps, or custom map SDKs
• Handling vehicle location via CAN bus in scenarios where GPS is weak
• Capturing and logging J1939 messages for diagnostics
• Uploading CAN data to cloud or local storage
