Our client is revolutionising genomic sequencing through the development of synthetic spike-in DNA/RNA controls and a brand-new bioinformatics platform. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement modern, scalable front-end solutions with a strong focus on UI/UX and usability
• Develop responsive web applications using technologies like React, Vue, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Work closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and bring data visualisations and insights to life
• Optimise performance and implement best practices in accessibility, maintainability, and code quality
• Contribute to product design discussions and participate in code reviews and technical planning sessions
• Help define and enforce front-end coding standards, architecture, and testing frameworks

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in front-end software development
• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, and a modern framework (e.g. React, Vue)
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive web design principles
• Demonstrated experience with UI/UX optimisation, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility
• Ability to write clean, well-structured, maintainable code
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile start-up environment

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Background or interest in data visualisation, genomics, or scientific applications
• Understanding of API design and system architecture
