Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our growing data team. This role is critical in guiding data-driven decision-making and innovation across the organization. You will work closely with a small team of data professionals to develop and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning (ML) algorithms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in Python, SQL, and Statistics, along with the ability to lead and communicate effectively in a dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end data science projects, from problem definition to solution delivery.
Design, develop, and deploy advanced statistical models and ML algorithms aligned with business goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business problems into data solutions.
Mentor junior team members, promoting best practices in data science, coding, and project execution.
Communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders using data storytelling and visualization.
Contribute to the organization’s strategic goals through impactful data analysis and modeling.
Continuously learn and implement new technologies and approaches in AI/ML.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data science roles with proven success in leading and delivering ML-driven projects.
Track record of building and deploying models in production environments.
Experience working with business stakeholders to drive insights and strategic decisions.

Additional Information

Must-Have Skills:

Python – Strong proficiency in scripting, data analysis, and ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy).
SQL – Advanced skills in querying, transforming, and managing large datasets.
Statistics – Solid understanding of statistical analysis and inference.

Good-to-Have Skills:

Experience with ML specializations: text analytics, image recognition, graph analysis, deep learning.
Familiarity with distributed computing tools like MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, or Kafka.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred): Azure Machine Learning, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks.
Exposure to version control tools like Git, and notebooks such as Jupyter.
Data visualization skills (Power BI preferred).
Experience with tools such as PySpark, R, SAS, C++, or JavaScript.
