AI/ML Python Developer – Canberra (NV1 Required)

We're Hiring: AI/ML Python Developer – Contract Role

We’re looking for an experienced AI/ML Python Developer and/or Data Engineer to contribute to high-impact machine learning and data integration initiatives. You'll collaborate with technical teams to develop, optimize, and deploy AI-driven applications and machine learning models.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and scale machine learning models and algorithms

Clean and prepare large datasets for training and validation

Build and integrate APIs and data pipelines across systems

Ensure seamless deployment of AI solutions into production environments

Mandatory Requirements

Australian citizen with the ability to obtain NV1 will be considered

5+ years' experience in similar environments

Strong proficiency in Python 3

Experience with Git and collaboration tools like GitLab or GitHub

Essential Skills

Machine learning algorithms and data science frameworks

API development and integration in enterprise environments

Data preprocessing, workflow orchestration, and agile collaboration

Desirable Skills

Web frameworks: FastAPI, Flask, Django

SQL/NoSQL databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch

Message queues: Kafka, RabbitMQ

Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines

Experience with microservices and frontend basics (JavaScript/HTML/CSS)

Location: Canberra (on-site/hybrid as applicable)
