ROLE SUMMARY
To serve as the strategic interface between IT and key business units, aligning technology solutions with operational goals and franchise requirements. This hybrid role ensures that IT projects are delivered with clear business value, enables digital transformation, and acts as a translator between technical teams and business stakeholders across various divisions, including automotive, heavy equipment, aftersales, and operations.
The IT Project & Relationship Manager is a strategic hybrid role, responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of IT projects while fostering strong, collaborative relationships between IT, business divisions, and external partners. This position ensures IT solutions are not only delivered effectively but also strategically aligned with and actively contribute to overall business objectives and value realization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Strategic Business Partnership
- Serve as a strategic liaison between IT and assigned business units to understand their goals, challenges, and technology needs.
- Proactively identify opportunities for IT to drive business value, efficiency, and innovation.
- Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key business stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Facilitate IT strategic planning sessions with business partners, translating business strategy into actionable IT initiatives.
- Communicate IT capabilities, services, and roadmaps to business stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
Project Lifecycle Management
- Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to closure, defining scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure all project documentation is comprehensive, accurate, and centrally maintained.
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Collaborate with business teams to elicit, analyse, and document comprehensive business requirements (BRDs).
- Translate complex business needs into precise, actionable functional and technical specifications.
- Facilitate requirements reviews and secure timely signoffs from relevant stakeholders (Business, IT, Vendor).
- Manage change requests, assessing impact and ensuring proper approval processes.
Technical Oversight & Delivery
- Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure thorough validation and acceptance.
- Collaborate with technical teams (Applications, TechOps) to assess and confirm infrastructure, hardware, and integration requirements.
- Oversee data migration strategies, cutover planning, and reconciliation processes.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement in project management methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Advocate for best practices in IT service delivery and business relationship management.
Education & Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of overall experience, with at least 3+ years in IT project management and demonstrated experience in business analysis or relationship management roles
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification.
- BRMP (Business Relationship Management Professional), CBAP, or CCBA certification.
