UX/UI Designer

Job Title: UX/UI Designer III

Location: Remote (working EST or PST hours)

Duration: 6 months

Pay Rate: $50–$55/hr.

Must provide a portfolio showcasing UI/UX design work and problem-solving approaches.

Responsibilities:

• Champion and advocate for human-centered design practices across teams and stakeholders.
• Lead complex design initiatives and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring design consistency across the School platform.
• Understand and map the end-to-end user journey, ensuring seamless integration across product touchpoints.
• Partner with UX Research to leverage existing insights and metrics, combining data-driven decisions with creative intuition.
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction models to support testing, development, and stakeholder alignment.
• Present and defend design solutions to peers, leadership, and cross-functional partners with clear rationale.
• Facilitate design reviews and discussions, driving actionable feedback and next steps across stakeholders.
• Contribute to and evolve the company’s design system by developing scalable, accessible UI components and design patterns.
• Promote consistency in visual style, accessibility, and user experience through design standards and documentation.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in product design, user experience, or visual design within digital product teams.
• Strong emphasis on UI design with hands-on experience creating and implementing visual design guidelines and technical design solutions.
• Proficiency with Figma, Miro, Lucid, Adobe Creative Suite, and other prototyping and design tools.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and their implications on design execution.
• Experience designing accessible, scalable interfaces across responsive web and mobile platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Visual Communication, Digital/Product Design, Human-Centered Design, or a related field.
