G.Digital are partnered with a fast-growing, product-led Health-Tech company on the lookout for a Backend Engineer with an interest in AI-driven features and experience working in modern, cloud-based environments. If you’re someone who enjoys solving meaningful problems, collaborating across teams, and bringing smart, data-powered solutions to life, this could be the role for you.

You don’t need to be an AI expert, but if you’ve worked on projects where machine learning, intelligent automation, or data science played a part, we’d love to hear about it.

🧠 What You’ll Bring:

• Solid experience using Node.js in production backend systems
• Fluency in TypeScript and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g. Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB)
• Exposure to projects involving AI, ML, or data-driven features, whether working alongside an ML team, integrating with models, or building intelligent APIs
• Understanding of both relational and document databases
• Comfortable working with product/design to build user-focused features
• A mindset geared toward problem-solving, learning, and collaboration

• Help shape backend services that support AI-enhanced user experiences
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product and design teams to ship features with real-world impact
• Communicate ideas clearly and contribute to technical discussions
• Take ownership of your work and look for ways to improve code quality, performance, and reliability
• Be part of a team that encourages autonomy, experimentation, and clean code

• Building scalable, well-structured services in a Node.js + AWS (serverless) environment
• Collaborating with engineers working on AI-powered features, such as recommendations, predictions, or insights
• Contributing to a growing platform through both greenfield and iterative development
• Writing production-ready code and taking pride in what you ship
• Helping create a backend architecture that’s fit for the future
