The position

As a Python Engineer at agap2, you take on the challenge within an international environment with a local focus. You will have the opportunity to work on various projects over the years, based on your experience and interests. Projects within industries such as Banking, Fintech, Telco, Retail, Sports, and Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

You will join a Product Team within the AdTech department to contribute to the development of new features, enhancement of our recommendation algorithm, and oversee the DevOps lifecycle of the data science services powering the solution. You will work in a professional, close-knit team consisting of a Python Data Scientist, two Backend Developers, and a QA Engineer.

• Develop and implement new features for the sponsored product solution
• Maintain and improve the recommender algorithm to enhance relevance and performance.
• Manage the DevOps lifecycle of data science services, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Conduct analyses and generate reports to support business decisions and provide actionable insights.
• Continuously monitor and optimize system performance.
• Collaborate with the QA Engineer to ensure that new features are thoroughly tested and meet high-quality standards before release, and cover the test pyramid with decent test automation.

What you bring to the position

• 5+ years of experience in Python development.
• Proven expertise in Data Science.
• Hands-on experience with the DevOps lifecycle.
• Strong commitment to Test Automation & Code Quality.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, supportive attitude.
• Proactive team player with an agile/scrum mindset.

Nice to have

• Kafka
• MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL
• Microservices architecture
• Kubernetes
• Experience in the field of retail is appreciated
