Freelance medior java developer (react native)

Position: Medior Java Developer (React Native)

Location: Hybrid (Minimum 2 days onsite post-onboarding; flexible with manager approval)

Start: ASAP

Duration: Long-term contract (freelance or permanent options considered)

Overview:

We’re seeking a Medior Java Developer with strong experience in mobile app development using React Native. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, scalable mobile applications in a collaborative and Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain React Native apps for iOS and Android
• Integrate REST APIs and manage asynchronous data flows
• Work with native modules as needed (Swift/Kotlin/Java)
• Ensure performance, usability, and responsiveness across platforms
• Participate in sprint planning, estimations, code reviews, and continuous delivery
• Write and maintain documentation and unit test scenarios
• Collaborate with QA to validate solutions and resolve issues
• Promote best practices, knowledge sharing, and team coaching

Technical Requirements:

Must-Have:

• 2–4 years of professional experience with React Native
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills
• Familiarity with Redux, Context API, Axios/Fetch
• Mobile UX/UI experience (Material Design, HIG)
• Experience with Git, Git Flow, and mobile deployment (App Store, Play Store, TestFlight)
• Firebase experience

Nice-to-Have:

• Native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin/Java) development
• Experience with Expo, automated testing (Jest, Detox), CI/CD tools
• Agile/Scrum experience
• Crash/performance monitoring tools (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics)
