About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Specialist with expertise in DevOps and Kubernetes to join our Resilience and High Availability project team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and high-availability solutions to ensure the resilience of our IT infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design and Architecture: Develop and implement resilient and high-availability architectures using Kubernetes and other DevOps tools.
  • Deployment and Automation: Build zero down time deployment processes, improve CI/CD pipelines, to ensure seamless integration and delivery across a diverse range of users and applications.
  • Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Assist in improving our systems and processes for monitoring performance, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing for maximum efficiency and reliability.
  • Incident Management: Assist in building and testing incident response plans for system and application failure scenarios.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, system administrators, and data engineers to deliver resilience and automation uplift and assist with skilling up team to meet future challenges.
  • Documentation: Assist with building out process and design documentation for use in maintaining systems at a testable resilience level even while continuing to evolve to accommodate new features and use cases.


Required Skills and Experience:


Technical Expertise:

  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Strong background in DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Bamboo, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, Terraform).
  • Proficiency in AWS IAAS , CAAS and PAAS cloud platforms .
  • In-depth knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Resilience and High Availability: Proven experience in designing and implementing resilient and highly available systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with various departments.
