Senior Program Manager - Subsurface & Wells

Job Purpose: The primary objective of this role is to lead the end-to-end management of the IDAP software deployment Program, ensuring strategic alignment with organizational goals and delivery of defined business value. This includes initiating, planning, executing, and overseeing the program through its full lifecycle—from conceptualization to closure—while managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, and stakeholder expectations.

The role requires a strong focus on subsurface & wells value delivery, governance, and cross-functional coordination to ensure successful integration of program outcomes into business operations. It also involves ensuring effective communication across stakeholders, facilitating decision-making, and driving continuous improvement throughout the program lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electronics or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in program management specifically focused on enterprise software applications, Digital initiatives, Al/ML related solutions within the Energy industry under Subsurface and Wells domain.
• Professional certification in project management is mandatory - PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2.Preferred certifications include PgMP (Program Management Professional)
• Agile-related certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) strongly recommended.
• Hands-on experience managing IM&T application programs within the Exploration and Production (E&P) domain of the Oil & Gas industry.
• Experience in leading Data Analytics, Digital Transformation, or AI/ML-based initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience in successfully managing complex application development initiatives and COTS (Commercial-Off-The-Shelf) software implementations, utilizing both Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional project and program teams of varying sizes and disciplines, from initiation through successful completion and transition to operations.
• Deep understanding of formal program and project management frameworks, including PMO governance models, project lifecycles, software development lifecycles (SDLC), and industry best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Proven expertise in proactively identifying, analysing, mitigating, and monitoring program and project risks and issues, with effective escalation and resolution processes in place. Certifications such as (PMI-RMP) are considered a strong asset.
• Extensive experience managing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including pre-contract and post-contract activities, preparation of RFIs, RFPs, tender evaluations, vendor selection, and ongoing contract management.
• Solid background in program and project budgeting, including cost estimation, financial forecasting, budget tracking, and variance analysis.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels—from technical teams to senior executives.
• Proficiency in standard project and program management tools, such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, and other collaborative platforms
