DevOps Engineer

Title: DevOps Engineer (Advanced)

Location: Toronto, ON - (Hybrid with 3 days mandatory in the office)

Contract Length: 6 Months

Details:

Transform and accelerate our software delivery pipelines. Act as the keeper of DevOps tooling and the central orchestrator of DevOps activities with a mandate to drive down delivery/change lead times, batch sizes, mean time to recovery, and change failure rates. The role will also focus on provisioning cloud and network infrastructure in support of product development and launch.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for production deployments and some bug fixing

Must-have skills:

5-9 years relevant experience

Experience in a DevOps role, ideally at a large enterprise.

Experience on multiple projects with multiple interfaces and/or 3rd parties

Experience in a Senior Developer or DevOps role across many technologies

Expert knowledge of SDLC including Requirements, Release Management and QA

Knowledge of CI and CD approaches

Skills & Competencies:

Different design techniques (e.g. OO, Top-down, structured analysis, component-based design) and tools

Presentation Skills

Facilitation Skills

Risk Assessment and Quantification methodologies
