Role- DevOps Engineer

Location- Scarbrough, ON (Hybrid)

Mode:- Contract

Note:- Finance domain experience is mandatory

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Candidate who is ready for the Fastlane on one of our Premium IT Teams. As a member of our DevOps team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and systems that support our mission-critical financial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with developers, operations, and security teams to design and implement robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure and systems
• Automate the deployment, scaling, and observability of applications and services
• Continuously improve and optimize the performance, availability, and security of our systems
• Work closely with the SRE team to design and implement deployment pipelines, incident response and recovery plans
• Continuously improve and optimize the performance, availability, and security of our systems
• Join an on call schedule to provide support and after-hours maintenance of supported systems and services

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of supported operating systems of Linux (RedHat)
• 5-7 years of supported infrastructure of IBM Products (WebSphere, IHS, MQ, LDAP,TSM)
• Strong experience with configuration management tools (Ansible and YAML preferred)
• Strong experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift)
• Strong experience with observability and logging tools (Dynatrace, Elasticsearch, Cloud Watch)
• Strong experience with scripting and programming languages (Python, Bash, JavaScript)
• Strong experience with security and compliance in a financial institution or other regulated industry.
• Strong experience with GitOps including Continuous Deployment tools.
• Expertise with Git tooling and practices; GitHub Preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Experience with ITIL processes including Problem and Change Management, Configuration and Release Management
• Knowledge of Oracle products including Oracle, OEM, Golden Gate
• Must have experience in Financial Industry
• Must have strong communication, documentation and ability to provide coaching to team members.
• Applicants with bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields preferred.
• Position may require some/limited travel.
