What You'll do:

• Design, build, and maintain backend applications with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and reliability;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features and enhancements;
• Promote best practices in code quality, security, and testing throughout the development lifecycle;
• Proactively troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software systems;
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous innovation;

What You Are:

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Backend Engineer or in a similar role within cross-functional teams;
• Proficiency in Kotlin for backend development;
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Ktor frameworks;
• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including optimization and schema design;
• Familiarity with REST API design, microservices architecture, and cloud services (preferably AWS);
• Experience working in Agile environments with iterative delivery and continuous feedback;
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with a focus on performance tuning;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English;
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications / Bonus Points:

• Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, SNS/SQS);
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform);
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes;
• Background working in startups or fast-paced environments.
