Software Engineer

Role: Senior Data Platform Engineer

Location: UAE (relocation available)

Compensation: $30k-$40k USD / per month ($350-$480k)

A leading global hedge fund is building out its systematic trading business and is hiring a Senior Data Platform Engineer to lead the development of a scalable, low-latency data platform to support research, backtesting, and live trading.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and build distributed data pipelines (Python, C++, Kafka, Kdb+)
• Design high-availability systems for real-time and historical data access
• Collaborate with quant researchers, traders, and infrastructure teams to optimise performance and reliability

Requirements:

• Deep experience in distributed systems, time-series data, and real-time processing
• Proficiency in Python and/or C++, ideally in low-latency or HPC environments
• Background in systematic trading or financial data platforms is highly desirable
