Job Title: Front-End Developer / UI Designer
Location: Canberra

Security clearance needed: Baseline
About The Role
We are looking for experienced Front-End Developers / UI Designers with a dual skillset to help deliver intuitive, user-focused digital experiences. You will work in agile, multi-disciplinary teams to rapidly prototype, test, and implement solutions that improve product usability and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities
Strong experience designing and building UIs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS/Angular.
Effective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders and advocate for user-centric solutions.
Proven ability to improve UIs based on usability testing outcomes.
Knowledge and application of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA).

- Design, prototype, and develop user-centric interfaces using HTML, CSS, ReactJS and/or Angular.
- Work closely with researchers and developers to translate user insights into effective designs and UI components.
- Advocate for accessibility and implement WCAG 2.1 AA standards in all solutions.
- Plan and conduct usability evaluations and iterate based on feedback.
- Develop responsive, accessible front-end components that align with design systems and best practices.
Strong experience designing and building UIs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS/Angular.

Desirable Skills
- Experience using Figma, Adobe XD, or Axure for wireframing and prototyping.
