Here at NEXTDC we are building a revolutionary elastic data centre switching fabric. In the role of Software Developer, you’ll develop systems that can orchestrate interconnection between service providers, cloud providers and hybrid cloud customers, and deliver an outstanding user experience to our customers. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, ambitious developer to join a growing startup who build scalable systems using the latest web technologies.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Developing customer facing frontends web-based on industry best practice in design
• Working with network engineers to implement maintainable code that ensures the smooth operation of on-demand network services
• Design, build and maintain the compute environment using a combination of on-demand resources and off the shelf products.
• Set the direction of future activities and ensuring a maintainable long term software architecture thru rapid development cycles

This position is an initial 12 months fixed term opportunity!

• 3 years + of software development experience.
• BE/BSc degree in Computer Science or related field highly regarded
• Full stack in LAMP environment highly regarded
• Experience with Design, build and maintain a web-based user interfaces – including Angular JS / Angular
• Coding in JavaScript with experience in Python, PHP well regarded
• Strong software design, packaging and unit testing experience
• Experience administering on-demand computing environments (AWS)
• Familiarity with the following frameworks, languages and tool (Angular, Ecmascript 6, Gulp/Webpack, Bootstrap)
