DATA ANALYST

Position Overview:
The Data Analyst will be responsible for harnessing data from various platforms, sales, marketing (both online/offline), and consumer channels to provide actionable insights that drive business growth and enhance the sales and optimize shopping experience. This role requires a deep understanding of those channels’ operations and the ability to transform raw data into meaningful visualizations using Microsoft Power BI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ecommerce Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple Ecommerce sources, such as online sales platforms, Ad analytics, and campaigns, to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Dashboard Development: Design and create interactive Power BI dashboards that display key performance metrics related, including sales revenue, margins, traffic & conversion rates, ASP, and other relevant KPIs.
- Customer Behavior Analysis: Analyse customer journey data, search ranking patterns, and purchasing behaviours to understand customer preferences, segmentation, and identify opportunities to enhance customer experience and conversion.
- Product Performance Insights: Provide insights into product performance, best-selling items, slow-moving inventory, and identify cross-selling or upselling opportunities to maximize revenue.
- Marketing and Promotions Analytics: Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, promotions, and discounts by tracking ROI, customer acquisition, and conversion rates.
- Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources, including eCommerce platforms, 3rd party tools, and marketing automation platforms, to create a comprehensive view of the sales and marketing ecosystem.
- Sales Forecasting: Collaborate with demand planning and inventory management teams to create sales forecasts and optimize inventory levels based on historical data and market trends.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market trends to provide insights that inform the strategy and keep the business unit competitive.
- Data Governance and Security: Ensure compliance with data governance policies and implement measures to safeguard sensitive Ecommerce data.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, finance, and IT, to understand business requirements and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Reporting and Presentation: Generate regular and ad-hoc reports, summarize findings, and present insights to key stakeholders and leadership.
- Conduct & lead periodic business sessions with stakeholders and other partners to review the key insights, derive action points and track with respective action owners.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Ecommerce, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 3 years proven experience in data analysis and reporting using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools (Power Query).
- Deep understanding of metrics, customer behavior, and online sales operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access or SQL for data querying and manipulation (but not mandatory).
- Familiarity with eCommerce platforms, web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), and CRM systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to derive insights from complex datasets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and data modelling techniques is a plus.
- Experience with data visualization best practices and dashboard design.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced Ecommerce environment.
- Candidate should be a team player and have an experience with interacting with multiple stakeholders in her/his previous roles.
