Principal Software Engineer

• Reporting to the Tech Co-founder
• Hybrid working (3 days in the CBD office)

This already successful scale-up is revolutionising the CyberSec space with case management platform for cybersecurity operations that is used across government, enterprise, and managed service providers.

The founders of this Melbourne based start-up are well known and respected within the CyberSec industry, and have a track record of building leading tech products and teams.

They have just closed a number of new clients, and now need to scale the business to meet customer demand.

About the role

Due to a recent client wins, our client is now growing the engineering team and needs a Principal Engineer who can help build out the platform and team going in to 2025

This is an awesome opportunity to get involved with a start-up with purpose, deep expertise, an established business model and big plans in Australia and globally

This role can be office based or fully remote, that is up to you.

You are:

• A great communicator
• Excited by technology & building great products
• Passionate about quality and user experience
• Experienced in engineering solutions to complex problems
• Able to work effectively by yourself & collaboratively with the team

You have:

• Significant commercial full-stack development experience working with JavaScript, React, Redux, Golang (or similar), Linux, and Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience developing frontend code is highly desirable, especially React/Redux
• Experience with cloud platforms eg AWS
• Experience interfacing with third-party APIs and services
• An understanding of source code management, build automation, and agile development processes
