Senior Frontend Architect / Team Lead

As a UI Architecture team lead, you will be responsible for the technical design and architecture for the EIS UI architecture; including versioning, CI CD delivery of UI artifacts, and related infrastructure for EIS UI architecture.

You will be expected to have a strong technical background and the ability to write clean and maintainable code. You will be expected to handle key architecture, and technical designs and to mentor team members. You are expected to have good written and spoken communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of developers working on key EIS architecture
• Lead architecture, design and implementation of EIS next-generation insurance business applications - this is a ‘hands-on’ role.
• Develop proof of concepts that move forward to UI architecture platform enhancements
• Provide mentoring and technical leadership to less experienced team members
• Document the architecture technical specification
• Strong Collaboration with other EIS teams and colleagues
• Mentoring developers and developers at customers where appropriate
• Design and develop UI features and libraries according to system and business requirements.
• Work closely with the rest of the team to ensure coherent implementation of features in both backend and frontend rule engines.
• Support for existing framework users - both internal and external clients.
• Work in an Agile team environment
• Contribute to the overall team success during all phases of the software development life cycle, including architecture designs, requirements, and usability.
• Coach, support, and lead other developers in the team or other stakeholders.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Experience leading other developers in at least one implementation project end-to-end
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in software development working with the relevant tech stack
• HTML, CSS, LESS/Similar, Responsive design, and tools, CSS media queries
• TypeScript/JavaScript (ES5/ES6/ES7), Node.js
• React JS and React ecosystem, state management,( ANTD is nice to have)
• Ability to define and adhere to clean code and UI design best practices principles.
• Experience with algorithms and data structures, design patterns, and performance optimization is a plus
• Experience with data validation, business rules, or building developer tooling is considered a plus
• Experience with REST APIs & integration including; REST and/or GraphQL
• Knowledge of enterprise security, techniques, and best practices
• CI CD experience with building and deploying pipelines, Jenkins, CircleCI,, or similar.
